Check Duplicate Bookmarks

VertiTab provides an automated bookmark checking feature that scans for duplicate bookmarks and verifies bookmark accessibility.
How to Use
Section titled “How to Use”Access Method:
- Navigate to the bookmark folder in the VertiTab sidebar
- Right-click on any bookmark folder
- Select “Check Bookmarks” from the context menu
- The program will automatically scan for duplicates and verify bookmark accessibility
What Gets Checked
Section titled “What Gets Checked”Duplicate Detection
Section titled “Duplicate Detection”- Identifies bookmarks with identical URLs
- Finds bookmarks with the same title but different URLs
- Detects similar bookmarks that may be duplicates
Accessibility Verification
Section titled “Accessibility Verification”- Tests if bookmarked URLs are still accessible
- Checks for broken links or moved pages
- Verifies that bookmarks load correctly
Important Considerations
Section titled “Important Considerations”Network Requirements
Section titled “Network Requirements”- Stable Internet Connection Required: Ensure you have a reliable internet connection during the checking process
- Internal/Corporate Networks: If checking bookmarks for internal websites, make sure you’re connected to the appropriate work network environment
- VPN Considerations: Some bookmarks may require VPN access to verify properly
Potential Results
Section titled “Potential Results”- Inaccessible Results: Some bookmarks may show as inaccessible if:
- You’re not on the required network (internal company sites)
- VPN connection is needed
- The website requires specific authentication
- Temporary server issues
