Group by Site

Group by Site automatically organizes tabs by website domain, helping you organize similar tabs together quickly without manual grouping.

  1. Click the three dots (⋯) icon in the bottom-right corner
  2. Select “Group by Site” from the menu

Choose how groups are named:

  • Complete Domain: Uses full website address (e.g., “docs.google.com”)
  • Main Domain: Uses primary domain only (e.g., “google.com”)
  • Domain Name: Uses domain without suffix (e.g., “google”)
  • Custom Pattern (Premium): Create custom naming rules

Build custom group names using domain parts:

Domain Parts:

  • All Subdomains: Include all subdomain parts
  • First Subdomain: Use only the first subdomain
  • Last Subdomain: Use only the last subdomain
  • Main Domain: The primary domain name
  • All TLDs: Include all top-level domains
  • First TLD: Use only the first TLD
  • Last TLD: Use only the last TLD

Example: For “mail.google.com”

  • Main Domain: “google”
  • First Subdomain: “mail”
  • All TLDs: “com”

When enabled, treats “www.example.com” the same as “example.com” for grouping purposes.

When enabled, automatically applies your grouping preferences to new tabs as you browse.
