Managing Snapshots

The snapshot management interface provides comprehensive tools for organizing, viewing, and controlling your saved browser sessions.

  1. Click the Camera icon in the side panel
  2. Select View All Snapshots button
  3. The management interface opens in a new tab
  • Open a new tab and navigate to the snapshots page
  • Use keyboard shortcuts if configured
  • Access from browser bookmarks

Each snapshot is displayed as a card containing:

  • Header: Title, creation date, and type indicator
  • Statistics: Window count, group count, tab count
  • Preview: Visual representation of windows and tabs
  • Actions: Quick access buttons for common operations
  • Display multiple snapshots in a compact format
  • Show basic information for each snapshot
  • Allow quick browsing and selection
  • Show complete snapshot content preview
  • Include all windows, groups, and tabs
  • Provide complete snapshot structure overview
  • Search Bar: Find specific snapshots by title or content
  • Sort Options: Organize snapshots by date, name, or type
  • Filters: Filter by type (manual/auto) or other criteria
  • Batch Operations: Perform operations on multiple snapshots simultaneously
  1. Click the Restore button on the snapshot card

  2. Choose restore options:

    • Restore to New Window: Open snapshot in a new browser window
    • Replace Current Window: Replace current window content
  3. Confirm the restore operation

  1. Click the Edit icon next to the snapshot title

  2. Enter the new title name

  3. Press Enter to save changes

  1. Click the Delete button on the snapshot

  2. Confirm deletion (this action cannot be undone)

  3. Snapshot will be removed from all devices (if synced)

  • Prevent snapshots from being deleted by auto-cleanup rules
  • Keep important snapshots at the top of the list
  • Easily identify through pin icon
  1. Click the Lock icon on the snapshot

  2. Set password protection

  3. Locked snapshots require password to view or restore

  • Toggle cloud sync for individual snapshots
  • Control which snapshots are shared between devices
  • Manage storage and bandwidth usage
  • Export snapshot data as a file
  • Create local backup of snapshots
  • Share with other users or devices
  • Create a copy of existing snapshot
  • Edit without affecting the original snapshot
  • Create variants of snapshots
  1. Use checkboxes to select snapshots to operate on

  2. Or use Ctrl+click to select multiple items

  3. View batch operation options in the toolbar

  • Batch Delete: Delete multiple snapshots at once
  • Batch Export: Export multiple snapshots as a single file
  • Batch Tag Management: Add or remove tags for multiple snapshots
  • Batch Sync Settings: Change sync status for multiple snapshots
  • Title Search: Find snapshots by name
  • Content Search: Search within tab titles and URLs
  • Date Range: Find snapshots created in specific time periods
  • Device Filter: Filter by creation device
  • Type Filter: Manual vs auto snapshots
  • Sync Status: Synced vs local only
  • Lock Status: Locked vs unlocked
  • Pin Status: Pinned vs unpinned
  • Creation Date: Most recent or oldest snapshots first
  • Title Alphabetical: A-Z or Z-A
  • Size: Sort by tab count
  • Device Name: Group by creation device
  • Add custom tags to snapshots
  • Categorize and organize snapshots by tags
  • Use tags for advanced filtering and search
  • View storage space used by each snapshot
  • Monitor total storage usage
  • Identify large snapshots for cleanup
  • Configure automatic deletion rules
  • Set limits based on age, count, or size
  • Exclude pinned snapshots from auto cleanup
  • Regularly review and delete unneeded snapshots
  • Use batch operations to clean multiple items
  • Export important snapshots before deletion
  • Check filter and search settings
  • Verify sync status (if using cloud sync)
  • Refresh page or restart extension
  • Ensure target URLs are still accessible
  • Check browser permission settings
  • Try restoring to new window instead of replacing
  • Verify internet connection
  • Check premium account status
  • Sign out and sign back into sync service
  • Regularly clean old or unneeded snapshots
  • Limit the number of auto snapshots
  • Use filters instead of loading all snapshots
